This year’s issue also featured the project “Nile Flux, ” which was initiated by komplex Kulturmagazin in cooperation with ACF Cairo and EUNIC Egypt and is part of SABBART.*
The works by Amira Adel, Mostafa Ahmed, Esraa Elhadary, Asmaa Gamal, Nourhane Ebrahim, Sherine Khalil, Hashim Nasr and Sherif Saeed reflecting on the deep social, cultural and ecological ties to the river Nile were on display at the Austrian Cultural Forum in Cairo — the magazine pages served as exhibition backdrop.
*SABBART, blending “Sabbar” (Arabic for “cactus”) and “Art,” explores how culture can inspire a more sustainable future.
